Our Mission and background

Myasthenia Gravis Minnesota, Inc. (mgMN) was formed in 2015 and incorporated under the laws of the State of Minnesota. It is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. Many of the members belonged to the former Minnesota chapter of the MGFA. The new organization was established to more closely serve the needs of local members, who are from Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.

Our mission is to support individuals with myasthenia gravis (MG) and other myasthenic syndromes, and their families, through information, education and outreach.

The purpose of mgMN is to:

  • Support individuals with myasthenia gravis or a myasthenic syndrome by providing information and educational materials

  • Provide outreach to patients with myasthenia gravis, as well as outreach to physicians and other health care professionals who serve them

  • Support medical research on myasthenia gravis and other related myasthenic syndromes

  • Assist in advocacy in order to help meet the needs of individuals with myasthenia gravis or myasthenic syndrome
