Dear MG Minnesota Support Group Members,
Thank you for being a member of this very important support group. Staying connected is so important during this time of limited social contact.
Saturday July 16, 2022 is our monthly support group meeting, this month our meeting will be hosted by Pete, who will lead the group in discussing “Grateful, Blessed, and Thankful”.
Just in case you are a scanner like me and don’t make it to the end of the email, please thank Pete for being brave enough to take on the meeting!
In thinking about a topic for the monthly meeting, my mind turned to recent events in my life. I had recently tested positive for COVID-19, and was humbled by the love and support that I have received from my circle of family and friends.
So, I thought it may be a good time to really think about things that we feel Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed about. I won’t be present at the meeting, so in my absence I have my contribution to Saturday’s topic:
Grateful - I am truly grateful for the people in my life who really matter to me and who I matter to, and that I have an intense knowledge of it. I have discovered that it’s not the quantity of people in your life, but the quality of the few.
Thankful - I always try to be thankful for the events that have led me here to this unique group of people with MG. How can I ever be thankful for having this weird little known disease? I have realized that I have met a lot of wonderful, caring people from all walks of life. My life has truly been enriched by this group.
Blessed - I feel truly blessed for the love and support of my husband of over forty years, who has always been steadfast in his love and support of me. (Seriously, I mean it this time).
